AHM goes Greenland

In July, AHM performed a topo-bathymetric LiDAR survey in the vicinity of Nuuk at the southwestern coast of Greenland. On 14th and 16th July 2022, about 218 scan strips and 4998 RGB images were acquired at clear water and calm weather conditions. The detected water depth is down to 15 m with point densities in the range of 40-60 points/m². The major aim of this pilot project – funded by Innovation Greenland and the Danish geologic survey GEUS – is to provide a high resolution mapping database of the seabed to significantly improve and secure boat navigation in the shallow fjord sections.
